Nope, our classes are meant for beginners or people who haven’t worked with clay in a long time. If a class requires experience it will be specified in the description.

We have tools for hand building and wheel throwing so you don’t have to bring anything. Typically potters do start to build preferences for certain tools and end up buying some of their own eventually.

Great question! Larger pieces will “eat up” a lot of space in the kiln and space equals energy, time and space lost to firing many other pieces. Firing fees cover a lot of expenses such as electricity, cost of kiln and its wear and tear, cost of kiln furniture, cost of glaze materials and of course the manpower associated with managing firings and mixing glazes.

Yes if you are a monthly member. We love that you want to share what you are doing. If your friend is just popping in for a quick look there’s no charge. If you want your friend to get a chance to work along side you that’s possible with a day pass that you can purchase for $30 with no time limit for that day. Your friend will use your clay and you will pay for their firing. Anyone visiting through a day pass must sign a waiver. We will also be hosting open houses throughout the year where you can bring friends and they can try out the studio for free.

Yes, we want you to be able to create for hours so we have a fridge where you can store your food and drinks. We ask that you put your name on your things and only store food for the day you plan on eating it.
