Arleen Ferrara
Founder/Creative Director
Arleen Ferrara is the founder and creative director of AVL Clay, an Asheville-based community ceramics studio that blends the collaborative spirit of West Coast clay culture with the vibrant artistry of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A lifelong ceramic artist, Arleen is passionate about building spaces where creativity and connection thrive. After Hurricane Helene devastated many of the area’s creative hubs, she set out to create a welcoming.
Jon Ferrara brings his marketing expertise and personal passion for supporting his wife Arleen’s artistic vision to AVL Clay. He is dedicated to sharing the studio’s story and highlighting its role in fostering creativity, community, and resilience in Asheville’s post–Hurricane Helene arts scene.
